Kraut Deviled Eggs
Deviled eggs make for a great snack or party appetizer! There are many ways to elevate the classic deviled egg, making them with avocado, topping with bacon, or kicking up the heat with some hot sauce! I am always looking for ways to incorporate probiotic-rich foods such as sauerkraut. This combination of Farmhouse Cultures Smoked Jalapeno Kraut on top of deviled eggs is a winner!
If you would like to make this recipe dairy free you can substitute the yogurt for mayonnaise.
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 Tbsp full fat yogurt or mayo
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- sea salt
- pepper
-
Place eggs in a pot and add enough water to cover the eggs. Bring to a boil then remove from heat and cover. Let sit for about 10 minutes. Remove eggs from pot and run them over cold water. Peel the eggs and cut in half. Carefully remove the yolk from the eggs and place the yolks in a bowl.
-
Add the yogurt, mustard, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the yolks and mix well.
-
Scoop the yolk mixture back into the egg halves.
-
Top the eggs off with some sauerkraut. I recommend Farmhouse Culture Smoked Jalapeno!
